Zinc oxide mineral tinted sunscreen for your face

A tinted SPF 50 sunscreen with 100% mineral filters provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, while promoting natural radiance and a more even skin tone.

Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 is a weightless sunscreen fluid that combines 100% mineral filters with translucent color spheres for effective, broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and an even, radiant finish. This high protection zinc oxide mineral sunscreen also contains artemia salina, a plankton extract known to increase skin’s resistance to UV- and heat-induced stress. Dermatologist-tested for safety.

Key Ingredients:

  • 5% Zinc oxide (Z-Cote®): This microfine zinc oxide is a mineral filter that reflects sun rays to provide broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. The particle size and distribution characteristics spread evenly and provide a non-whitening effect on skin.
  • 6% Titanium dioxide: Microfine titanium dioxide is a mineral SPF filter that acts as a weightless reflector on skin to protect against UVA and UVB rays.
  • Artemia salina: This plankton extract helps boost skin’s natural defenses and resistance to UV- and heat-induced stress.
  • Translucent color spheres: Iron oxide spheres that act as a color-infused technology to enhance natural skin tone and boost radiance while providing a universal tint for most skin tones.

FAQ

Is Physical Fusion UV Defense zinc oxide sunscreen waterproof? It is water resistant, not waterproof. It is recommended to reapply Physical Fusion UV Defense at least every two hours, after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying.

What is mineral sunscreen? Is it the same as physical sunscreen?Mineral sunscreen is also called physical sunscreen. It includes filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that create a barrier on the skin’s surface to reflect the sun’s rays away from skin—providing broad-spectrum protection against damage caused by UVA and UVB rays (especially when used with other sun-protection measures).

Is Physical Fusion UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 a mineral or chemical sunscreen? Physical Fusion UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 is a mineral sunscreen. Physical and mineral sunscreens are the same because they utilize physical mineral barriers to provide broad spectrum sun protection by deflecting the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays.

Is sunscreen with zinc oxide safe? Yes. Zinc Oxide is found in mineral (also called physical) sunscreens and is considered safe and effective, even when applied to sensitive skin.

Does zinc oxide dry out your skin? While zinc oxide is very effective as a physical barrier to the sun’s damaging rays, it is an astringent which can be drying to the skin. If dry skin is a concern, look for sunscreens that have hydrating ingredients, such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides.
