What’s the difference between the C-Boost serum and the Vita C3 serum?

C-Boost is formulated with 20% THD ascorbate, a lipid-soluble, stable derivative of vitamin C, combined with firming peptides and a 15 key antioxidants.  It’s emollient base gives it a higher moisturization profile, making it the preferred formula for dry skin types or individuals who experience irritation with L-ascorbic acid.

Vita C3 combines gold-stabilized L-ascorbic acid with THD ascorbate and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP), supported by key master antioxidants and zinc PCA.  Zinc PCA contributes antimicrobial and sebum-regulating properties, positioning Vita C3 as the more targeted option for acne-prone or oily skin. 

Both formulations are suitable for all skin types, indicated for twice-daily use, and compatible with Truology A2 Retinaldehyde in a nighttime regimen. 

Can Vita C3 be used under the eyes?

No, Vita C3 should not be used under the eyes because L-Ascorbic Acid can irritate the delicate under eye skin 

Are Truology products fragrance-free?

Yes, all Truology products are fragrance free

Do I need to introduce Truology actives slowly?

Most Truology actives are formulated to be well-tolerated at full strength, but if you’re new to actives in general (retinoids, high-percentage vitamin C), start every product 2-3x per week and build up rather than going all-in on day one.

Are Truology products safe for sensitive skin? 

All Truology products are formulated with a “barrier first” approach meaning our formulations are effective without being harsh to the skin.  While we do formulate for all skin types, including sensitive skin, everyone is different and we recommend starting any new product slowly.
